Haru sometimes gets coffee at Tim's, when he happens to feel like it on a random morning, or when he needs to be up long enough to finish out a guiding session with June. This morning it's the first thing.

!Dungeon! She bounces a bit in excitement.
"Oooh, when? And what do we know about it?"

"Paula's sent you the briefing too."
There's a picture, from the selfie stick sent through when the portal was first located. Looks like the dungeon is a pinball machine. Victims are being bounced around by the bumpers and flippers and springs. The pinball machine is lightly alien themed and there are some little green men in there. They have ray gun looking things but the ray guns actually shoot smaller pinballs.

Then she focuses, because while this is in fact an incredible first dungeon for her powers, it is full of people being tortured and the important thing is stopping that efficiently.
"Okay, so - I should be able to stop the victims from moving and use their momentum to get myself around the dungeon quickly and squash monsters if I run into them. I should be able to catch any pinballs they shoot at me, though it'd be smart to test that before going in..."

She thinks for a moment. "You could just stand next to me and shoot away, right? I'd need to put the shell out a bit further, but that's no problem."

"Yeah. I... don't have a range, here, and I'll alarm the neighbors if they hear a gunshot..."

Hmmm... "Would you be up for going to a range to test it? ..If we even have the time for that, I mean. I don't know how far away the nearest one is."

"There's not one on the way, but I can tell Paula we'll be a bit delayed for this dungeon."

"Hmm. do you think it's worth the trade-off? Do we know how dangerous the pinball guns are, they might just be, like, the airsoft/paintball "hurts and might bruise" type..."
She rereads the notes on those in more detail.

It's a new dungeon and the aliens aren't shooting the victims, so they don't have exact information on how fast the shots are going, but probably worse than a paintball and not as bad as a serious bullet.

Cara will let Haru opine on whether it makes more sense to head straight there or do a ballistics test first, since he has a better handle on all the relevant considerations than she does.

"We should probably do the test, I'm just embarrassed we didn't think about it before telling Paula to get us a dungeon."

Ahhh... oops.
She pats him on the arm. "Sorry. I'll hurry up and get changed into my dungeon outfit?"

Cara can get ready to go pretty quickly - she swings by the bathroom to swish mouthwash around while changing, spits it out after pulling her shirt on. Then she grabs her phone, slips on her very fancy new shoes(!), and is ready in the garage in about 5 minutes.

Haru's pretty quick about packing guns in the truck, he has practice. He's got his dungeon boots on too, and a bag of PPE including spares for Cara.
Off they drive to the range, where he can fire guns at targets.

There's a bullet moving through the outer edge of the world. Does she want its momentum?

Ohhh, that's a good question. "Hmmm... Fire at the target again? ...maybe a few shots staggered over, like, 10 seconds, I want to test a slightly different sensory configuration as well and verify something I think I noticed..."
