Haru sometimes gets coffee at Tim's, when he happens to feel like it on a random morning, or when he needs to be up long enough to finish out a guiding session with June. This morning it's the first thing.
She may be backlashed, but she knows how to answer the tricky questions!
"I almost never do two songs a night, usually because I end up leaving before people start having repeat appearances and I think it would feel weird to be the first one to do that?"
Huh! Why does she leave early? She does not do that with most kinds of parties...
There's a few people she wants to say goodbye to (including a big hug for Stella), but she's otherwise fine with leaving shortly.
eeee yay smooches good!
Though after a few minutes of car makeouts, she winces. "Ouagh."
"Ah, sorry, it's just a headache, nothing serious." She presses her forehead against his. "...I've had for the last hour, I think? I just couldn't really notice it unprompted until now."
Hmmmm.
"...I wouldn't say no to one, but usually water and quiet/dark and lying down are the things that help?"
She sighs gratefully and leans into him. "Thank you. I had a really nice time tonight."
Once they're washed up and snuggled together, Cara will blab a bit about how she met some of the people they talked to tonight until she passes out.
(This doesn't take very long at all).
After they've had breakfast and washed up the next morning, Cara keeps an eye out for Cricket while Haru's doing Introvert Activities so she can begin Operation: Befriend The Cat!
oh he's so charming uuuuugghhhh.
Okay, okay, be normal - well, maybe not normal, Haru said Cricket dislikes most people, but -
"Good morning, Cricket! Would you be interested in telling me what you think about Gravity Falls at some point?"
"I will of course be delighted to hear your holistic opinion when you have one, but I must admit to being very curious about what you think so far! The evolution of opinion as more of the media is consumed is fun to think about."
"I appreciate the decision to have a blatantly irresponsible authority figure. Dipper's crush on Wendy is tedious. I have taken breaks from the show more than once because Mabel's voice is irritating, but it's the correct voice for the character, I just don't enjoy it."
She nods fervently. "Yeah, I really like Grunkle Stan! He's such a fun change from how authority figures in western cartoons interact with the main cast. And yeah, Dipper's crush on Wendy is sooooooo tedious - that was the thing that had me taking breaks from the show when I was watching it." That and finding time with 43 to watch, but she really does not expect Cricket to care about that.
"What episode are you on?"
"Ooooh. What'd you think of the finale?" She mostly remembers being very !!! about the ending, but some of that is hindsight.
"I don't enjoy Gideon, but probably because, I think, he is drawing in archetypes I don't have background in. Which is a strange choice for a children's show."
"Huh, yeah, I can see that. Gravity Falls makes a lot of interesting choices for a children's show. The creator's written a lot of interesting things about it since it finished; if you'd like, I could dig up some of my favorites for you after you finish the show?" She is TALKING to a CAT about CARTOONS. This is GREAT.
