Is this going to be horrible for Chanon in some way.  Is Julien's dirty laundry going to rise up and consume him - no.  Chanon's not real.  Or at least this isn't the real him.  "Yeah.  If it's not on my nightstand I don't know where it is."

"Okay.

"I'm not seeing it; I'm going to hang up to call it, okay?"

"Sure.  Thanks."

"Yeah, any time.  Feel better soon?  Bye."

And he disconnects.

"...which you are very grateful for?"

"It's much better than all the bad things I keep imagining actually happening!"

"I guess that makes sense."

"Is your phone still out?"

"I'll put it in my pocket." He does so. "There."

"Do you want to -"  No.  How does he ask for this.  "I could maybe use some more guiding."

"Like I should fly and queue up phone calls accordingly or like my mouth will be elsewhere occupied?"

"I was thinking the second thing."

"Okay." This is a real job that people have. It was not until recently Haru's job but there are totally professional guides who do kissing and if he had other mental images that involved him being less kissy with his awakening charge, well, he did not get them down on paper in the Tim Horton's. "Ready when you are."

The 'Ready!' can perhaps go unsaid on his end.

The thing is that this feels so much better, instantly and sustainedly.  It wasn't even that many minutes since they were last doing this.  Wow.

Awakening backlash is like that.

Pretty soon he's experiencing the same problem as last time where he would like to be doing either more or less of this.  And less is just so obviously less good than more, with the comparison there; if he just gradually gets more - into it - in small increases, does that cause any problems?

It's not very professional but Julien does not have a relevant profession? Haru will like, open his mouth more by small increments, but even if he were really sure exactly what movements would set off the jumpiness he would probably not be going full bore here. It does not, immediately, cause any problems.

Okay that's enough escalating for being in the common space of a house which might have the world's scariest cat currently in it.  Julien pulls back and attempts to assess vibes through eye contact.  And project vibes of openness himself.

"I'd expect the gofer pretty soon if they didn’t run into any problems."

"- Yeah."  Blink, blink.  Retreat, off of Haru.

They can still be cuddled up but any minute the doorbell may ring.

Julien is so capable of cuddles.  Boring, boring cuddles with no reading and no torture and just him running over scenarios again and again in his head for how he's going to let Haru (or whatever force is acting through 'Haru') get him into bed.

Eventually: doorbell. Haru waits to be disentangled from, before he goes to answer it.

Julien is so capable of disentangling!

...The jingly shoebox that Haru comes back with is really alarming though, and Julien is - capable but not so capable of not looking like he's terrified of whatever torture implements are inside it.

"Looks like your roomie fixed you a whole little care package. Is that awful, I can extract the phone and stash the rest if that's awful."
