He moves the book he was reading out of range of Wei Wuxian's splash-zone without complaint and hugs him. He has nothing to report, and so he says nothing.

She purses her lips at the water soaking into the couch, but doesn't object. "Not really, no. It's been quiet; A-Ning and A-Yuan spent a while playing with the bunnies. Isn't that right A-Yuan?"

He climbs up onto the couch with them.

"Yeah! We saw the bunnies, and we brought them carrots, and I got to hold two of them at the same time."

"Two bunnies at once? The bunnies must really like you if neither one ran off."

He lifts a-Yuan onto his lap.

"The bunnies really like me?!"

"Yes. You are their friend, A-Yuan."

Wen Ning flops on the couch beside Wei Wuxian, completely unbothered by his dampness. "Do I get to be the bunnies' friend too?"

"Yes."

"Yay! I'm friends with the bunnies!  Does that mean I can visit them every day and hold them every day?"

"What about me? Am I the bunnies friend, Lan Zhan?"

Kiss. "Except when you are too loud."

Snort.

"You are so mean, saying I am not always the bunnies friend.  But you kissed me, so I forgive you." he kisses Lan Zhan again.

He adjusts himself so he is laying across Lan Zhan's lap with his head on Wen Ning's leg, and a-Yuan sitting on his stomach.  He angles his face towards Wen Ning for a kiss.

Kiss! "How was your pool time?"

"Fun! And cool! You all should come with me more, it is better then sitting in the air conditioning all day."

"As long as A-Yuan has time to be the bunnies' friend while I'm away," he says, patting A-Yuan on the head. "So they will not be lonely."

"It's very important that the bunnies don't get lonely.  Do you think you're up for this very important job, A-Yuan?"

"My job is to be the bunnies friend? I can do that! I like being the bunnies friend!" he bounces up and down a bit.

"Then, I guess, I can come swim after all."

"With sunscreen, A-Ning, you always forget." 

"If he always forgets, perhaps you should remind him tomorrow.  I will do my best to remember for him, but we all know how good my best is." 

"We certainly do. I don't know if I'll be around when he goes swimming tomorrow, Wei Wuxian, as some of us have daily jobs."

"I, I'll remember, Jie, don't be mad at him."

Sigh. "I'm not mad, A-Ning, you just burn so easily."
