"People like that girl - what was her name, Jade?"

"Jade Stream." Luc' smirks. "She was quite enjoyable."

"She was. A pretty girl with a good voice."

Teasingly: "Not as pretty as you, though."

"I am beyond compare," she says smugly.

"A pinnacle of beauty."

"And intelligent and charming besides."

"And powerful, and graceful, and a good conversationalist..."

She bumps her hip into Wyld.

"An excellent cook and unparalleled taste in women."

She leans into Luc'. "Rather full of excellent qualities."

She hums. "Maybe we should finish breakfast. You've had a busy night..."

"I am rather hungry."

And light conversation. Wyld mostly asks questions about Luc' -  minor ones, her opinion on this or that, what things (food, music, entertainment...) she likes.

Luc' has more opinions on food than other pleasures, but she's apparently fairly well-read in matters of philosophy, magic, strategy, or political theory.

Wyld might just have to introduce her to a wider variety of pleasures, then.

Wyld is extremely fascinated about things Luc's read - most of her education's been via oral history, which has resulted in a different focus than reading broadly. She knows rather a lot about how societies function, and strategy in war, and the ways of the Wyld and somewhat of the raksha. She certainly has an odd philosophical background, and sometimes off-handedly refers to Lunar philosophies, like the Seneschals or the Wardens, usually positioned as some kind of 'other.'

Luc' does her best to draw Wyld out on those.

"They're not all that interesting. Mostly squabbles about what we're even doing. Wardens think everyone should live in harmony with nature, Seneschals think we should recreate the First Age, the Swords keep pointing at the Wyld and going 'hey look guys that's a threat'... It's mostly Elders who bother explicitly identifying with something like that, and most Lunars survive to be Elders by being boring. But there's a lot of philosophical arguments that get tied up in one goal or another."

"I suppose I'm mostly interested because enough of you have continuously survived that such factionalism is possible."

"Huh, yeah. I guess Solar's don't have anything like it?"

"Not hardly. It's rare to see even a full circle in the same place."

"...What's it like? Being a Solar?"

"...Hard to describe, really. It's- all the power of the Unconquered Sun, and it's yours, or as much of it as you can handle, anyway."

Small frown. "How do you get the power, anyways? The Unconquered Sun doesn't seem the type to show up to his chosen..."

"You go as far as you can, and then go further. And if you're lucky, you take the second breath and finish the job."

"Oh. For us - for me - I escaped slavery."

"I just - walked away. Got my lucky chance and took it, even if I nearly died in the doing."

"And I looked back. And I went back, and I killed those bastards and led my people out, and I kept them safe even as we were pursued - even though I could've abandoned them and saved myself..."

"Luna appeared to me, when I was realizing I couldn't continue keeping myself and everyone all safe, when I was deciding what to do about that. She - didn't say anything, just smiled, and then kissed me when I flirted with her. But I knew."

"My first charm - the one I had immediately - was that one for hiding groups. We snuck the rest of the way out, until we ran into one of the other Chosen."

"Was it like that, for you?"
