Occlus glances up, then returns to her work without saying anything.

She - just doses, drifting in the Force, feeling everyone in the building - Occlus especially -

It helps a lot.

She does, however, stir a bit when dinner time comes around.

"Rough trip?" Occlus asks.

"Yeah."

"I - should go get dinner. Then we can talk, maybe."

"Would you like company?"

"I would."

"I had been planning on Duros food tonight, if that's acceptable."

"That's fine."

Then it's off to dinner. Occlus knows exactly where she's going and what she wants to order.

Ani knows the menu well enough to get some comfort food.

She - doesn't super want to get into the mission where they might be overheard, so she mostly asks about Occlus's work in public.

It's proceeding acceptably well. Most of the staff has learned the system such that the error rate is negligible.

Good. Well trained staff can be hard to get.

Hard to keep, too. Though most of those still left don't seem the sort to move on easily.

She's not really surprised by that. There's been a lot of opportunities already for people less tied to the position to move on.

She will need to start recruiting, soon.

Ani, unfortunately, doesn't know much about that process.

Occlus knows what she's looking for in a candidate. It is mostly a matter of attracting them.

She nods. Recruiting from among people already familiar with archives seems most reasonable, rather than people necessarily looking for a government position.

Obtaining the funding to do so is of course another matter. While she could of course theoretically fund her own staff, given that they are working to the New Republic's benefit, she feels they ought to pick up the tab.

Luke was trying to get better funding for the Archives on the agenda. She'll poke him about that.

And perhaps also about the Dark Jedi who wished to meet him.

"He told me a bit about that. What's your opinion of the matter?"

"It is an obvious trap. The name he's found, C'Baoth, belonged to a Jedi Master who left the Republic on a project called Outbound Flight some ten years before your Clone Wars."

"Not anyone I've heard about, too. It's - odd timing, also, for this C'Baoth to surface now, when we've just learned there's a Grand Admiral with the Imperials - Luke's a valuable asset, especially diplomatically, and him getting distracted works against us, even if C'Baoth isn't with the Imperials. And, given he contacted Luke during an Imperial raid... I find it unlikely that was entirely a coincidence."

"Be sure to remind him of that before he goes running off."
