Basically nothing has happened today, and Ari isn't bored. She probably would be if she didn't have access to a giant ballroom in which to do sock slides, though. Wheeeeee.
- what the fuck. What the fuck? The ballroom is large and entirely open; it's fairly impossible that she wouldn't've seen him coming, especially with the wall of mirrors. She emits an undignified squawking sound as she slides into him.
He grasps her shoulders enough to keep her on her feet, then lets her go and reestablishes a reasonable personal space once she's got her footing.
"Hey-o. Sorry to pop in like this. You're invited to a party."
"Nope! Questions later. Or never; never works for me."
And he grabs her wrist and starts running at one of the mirrors.
Ari has access to more direct vampiric magic than anyone in dozens of miles. She's unusually strong and is capable of becoming much, much more so in the space of an instant, or of flying or teleporting away or turning into a bird or -
She's thrown off by this whole thing enough that she does none of those. She mostly ends up trying to dig her heels into the floor and hold her ground.
This is really not an effective strategy to use against someone with the ultimate tactical advantage: shoes. Zoom goes Ari!
The weird man doesn't seem to have any intentions of hitting it himself, though; he slingshots her ahead of him.
Well, okay! Ari gets yote into the mirror.
- into in the sense of through, apparently.
The other side is superficially the same ballroom until she looks to the exit. It's on the opposite side from where it normally is, and the open door reveals something that's unclear at this distance but is probably not the rest of her house/castle/mansion/whatever. Also the guy is gone.
It leads to a sleek but not intimidating hallway with walls in charcoal grey and a delightfully plush light blue carpet.
A door! It opens into an expansive lounge in a similar style and theme to the hallway. The center of it has a seating area set a few feet lower than the rest of the room, with much of its perimeter in couches; it also has a few circle chairs and bean bags. Around the outside, there's a snack bar and a foosball table, and a few other miscellaneous items.
Probably of greater interest, though, are the several other people who open their own doors at the same moment she does.
