"...huh, that'd be interesting. So you could get people high and they could beat up whoever was fucking with them?"

"Yeah...I mean, it's not a perfect strategy--I only have so much blood--I mean I can regenerate it but I'd have to eat more and I dunno how likely people are to be willing to play snacktime." 

"Where do you get snacktime usually?"

"Oh, you can buy bags of blood--not like embezzled from legitimate blood donations, that I know of, but within the monster community getting your blood drawn to put in the Vampire Grocery Store is, like, any amount of a thing."

"...that's... sort of weirdly cute?"

"...Thanks? It's pretty clinical, though." 

"I dunno, I just like the mental image of you with a bag of blood like a juicebox."

"Ohhh, I thought you meant the extraction process. Yeah, it's kinda like that! Except I come with my own straws."

"Mom made me use the plastic ones when we were out in public but at home I did in fact also use my own straws on juiceboxes when I was a kid."

"That's even more adorable."

"I was a cute kid. If you ever meet my mom you should hit 'er up for pictures of little me." 

He giggles again. "Maybe I will!"

"Cool."

"What were you like as a kid?"

"Not super cute. Kind of a huge bully actually."

"Mm. Yeah, not cute."

He nods.

"That's okay. You're cute now." 

"Am I? Cool."

"I think so!" Cheeksmooch. 

"Well, good. I think you're cute too." Snuggle.

"Well, yes, but we already established that." 

"I forget establishing that but it does sound like the kind of thing that probably happened."
