"I mean, we'd have to pay for it? I guess it's probably fine."

"I have absolutely no idea how expensive dirt is. 

" - should I go get it, or - "

"Probably? - you don't need to worry, though, they're not actually going to murder me, he's - not exactly being serious."

"Just - sort of worried about a lot of things. I can go get it."

Hug first, though.

She heads out and comes back some time later with some weirdly huge particles of dirt.

Then they can use it to send Karen to a location of their choosing in the dimension.

She asks Bar for a map of Europe and asks Catherine to point out the locations.

It's a weird-looking map, honestly, but she finds the locations without a problem. Oldest two here, middle one here. She has a list of locations where the oldest two are likely to be. The middle one will just be somewhere inside the nearby castle.

"Looks like the oldest two are right around Oslo, then. I guess you can send me there first?"

They do this!

Okay! 

She is now in an obviously early medieval version of Oslo. Hopefully being fast interferes with that thing where future time travelers can wipe everybody out with super-germs, or whatever. She'll just... try not to touch anything she doesn't have to.

Also, it's the middle of the night, and she can barely see.

Luckily, the kids are sleeping in the first places she checks, exactly where Cecelia guessed they would be. She plants the magical tracking units. She... has no idea how to signal that she's done, she really should have asked about that before they beamed her down here.

They bring her back a couple minutes after the beacons move. "Are they in the right place?"

"Yeah."

"This might not be the best place to bring the kids too -"

"Can you get us a bigger room?"

"The kids don't know you. We could get a room for the kids and Cecelia could meet them there?"

"Okay."

He goes to the bar to ask for this.

"They might be - upset," she says to Rána, quietly.

"That makes sense, since we're stealing them. Do you want me to be there?"

"Kind of, yeah."

"Well, then I'll go with you and they'll decide if they're willing to do anything about that."

Nod.

"And we can have some of that food you liked so much on hand."
