"Can you see how I'm experiencing things?"

If you think about it really hard maybe?

Sure, the climatologist will try that!

Head-tilt.

...I can tell you're thinking really hard but that's it. I say pictures as easy as I say words so I don't know how to tell you to do it.

"Huh. Maybe I'll figure it out one day."

She sends a mental shrug and wanders off to report her new magic the day's mushroom scouting results to Pep.

Animals can get sick and get parasites. Plants can get sick and parasites but different. Can mushrooms get sick and get parasites?

"Sometimes, but not much."

The baby Draak is delighted to learn just about anything about biology, even if she can't easily be motivated to learn much about anything else.

This time when the black-hulled starship Wing of Change appears, it radios that it would like to land offshore of Voa instead of in Tapa. Their history, particularly the aftermath of the war with the Empire of Oahk, makes him think they would be a good place for him to teach the bits of technology he is here to teach.

Well, he can land the same place he did last time he visited Voa, up north. Should they be setting up a whole conference site type deal there?

It's just the Seeker himself, no big conference needed. He will want to talk to some blues who can make big deals and organize a lot of greens at some point, but he can explain himself to the one he met last time first if that is easier.

The party he met last time is there. With another sculpture present, this one made of coral.

Well, he's not going to say no to shiny gifts.

Greetings. I am here to share technology. Not all of what you need to make starships, but a major step. I was going to do it last time I was in Tapa, but had a startling realization that the technology I was going to share could potentially be used to invent a class of weapons of terrible power - weapons which the Elders and one other of the Draak already know the secrets of, but we hope are never used. By grace of the Onesong, there is a way to make those horrible weapons not work and I am going to share it widely. I think Voa is one of the better countries to do that with.

"We're honored by your confidence."

You will want many physicists. I'm interested in asking Voa to handle distributing the knowledge of how to make the anti-weapon devices, or the devices themselves, to most countries. I don't want to lecture to a hundred small countries or make lots of them myself but I do want to make sure nuclear weapons can never be used here.

"We can get physicists. And engineers. How much material are we talking about?"

I am unfamiliar with exactly how smart your smartest greens are and what they already know about the relevant physics. I estimate two weeks to six months for manufacture of anti-weapon devices, six months to four seasons of dedicated study for the basics of nuclear fusion powerplants. It's a regrettably large range.

"Even a vague estimate helps. I'll put out a call. Do you want to deliver the information here or should we set up somewhere more populous with more resources?"

Somewhere more built up is better in this case. I'm willing to attempt to teach lots of people at once, though the usual Draak teaching style is one to at most a dozen, and often one to one.

I'm willing to teach anti-weapon devices for free without any further considerations, but am interested in earning a lot of money for teaching the general theory of nuclear fusion. Voa's admirable history and the act of distributing the former knowledge will benefit you if I decide calling for bids makes sense or something like that.

"Is there a limit to how big a lecture hall you can cover, or how many people?"

Distance and audience size is not really an issue for whether they can hear my song unless you fill an entire stadium. Though a large class means I will have very little attention for each individual.

"Greens are accustomed to learning at least some things in lecture format. If nothing else they'll be able to take turns asking questions."

I will simply have to try lecturing and see what works and what does not. The notion of smaller discussion sections in addition to large lectures is probably a good idea.

"We can set that up if you think it justifies the multiplication of time investment."

I intend to spend most of my waking hours teaching. You can schedule discussions all morning, lectures before and after lunch, and discussions all afternoon with office hours all evening. On average, Draak handle intense workloads on single tasks much better than Amentans do.
