"I have a little more freedom than Allison. But I am looking for a little excitement. So far there hasn't been much in the way of that. Small towns," she shrugs.

"Maybe you're just not hanging out with the right people."

"Are you coming to my party this Friday? It's considered one of the better events on the local teenagers' social calendars."

"I have plans that night."

Friday is the full moon, even if there wasn't an uncontrollable beta around, she would still be unavailable.

"Well, you can always come to the hangover the next day."

"You've already made plans? Argents move fast."

"Allison is very fond of McCall. She's convinced me to spend time with them. It's the only way our parents will allow them to see each other."

"There's no way McCall can handle two women, let alone one."

"We can't just reschedule. People have been looking forward to it for months. Maybe something more private."

"I still have preparations to make for Friday, but I can pencil you in for Thursday."
