The Sheriff steps in front of the others, and makes to go down first. 

Lydia walks past him, leading the way. 

She is cute and takes charge. Gosh, he-who-needs-a-name might be experiencing his first crush. He follows.

All they find is a dark, damp, cold, empty basement. 

"No, no, I was sure he was here."

"It's fine. We'll find him."

"Maybe he left."

"Should we check for signs of him? It looks pretty undusturbed."

"You can come back later. Right now, we're finding my son."

He heads back upstairs without waiting for a response. 

"How long he has been gone?" He asks in a whisper to Scott.

"A few hours. He called me, he said he sleepwalked somewhere, and he's scared for his life."

"Okay, the Nemeton showed Stiles somewhere cold and damp, but I have no idea how recent that was. It also showed moments that are clearly days apart."

"This isn't actually helping. We should be planning how to find him now, and we need everyone's heads together on that. Me and Scott can't find his scent, which means we have to move fast." 

"If he was here, and he didn't leave a scent, that can't be good, right? It sounds bad." 

"We can hurry it along." 

They head back outside. 

A cave...

In the forest, a woman steps on crunching pine needles and tries not to think about the cold. 

She approaches a familiar cave, formerly home to a coyote. 

"Oh, great. Got contacted by the scary tree channel. I think I saw your mom, Scott, on the coyote-girl cave."

"She's looking for Stiles too. Did she look safe?" 

"She looked cold, which..." there is a sudden warm breeze, "I can help a little but not a lot from this distance."

An approach...

The woman steps just barely into the cave, the darkness obscuring her for a moment-

And kneels to the ground, catching the shaking, shivering boy in her arms. 

"Stiles is there! Your mother found stiles, Scott."

"We should go there, make sure he's okay."
