"I probably will, yes. Thank you, I'll report back after then."

She is supposed to wait to be dismissed but trying to teach Tallandria manners without just terrorizing her really sounds intractably difficult. "Goddess go with you."

Partway through her evening meeting, Jilia decides that she has more than one thing she'd like to talk about with Carlota and she might as well do it before this if she can.

To Her Grace Duchess Carlota Guiomar de Chelam,

I think it's a sensible proposal, though I'd suggest the Queen's two picks be one elected and one sortition, and if she declines by consensus of archdukes, from among those already involved in drafting proposals in committee, the handful of us and them being small enough consensus ought to be possible. Which leaves out you and Ser Cansellarion but I think you'll both live. I'll have to consider my own selection but I don't expect it to cause a great delay.

I'd like to ask you some questions in person about one of the motivations, if I could, though I don't expect it to change the results of this effort so it's merely important, not urgent. If you have time for a conversation tomorrow over morning tea or in the early break, perhaps? My residence is inconveniently far from our day's business, but if me calling on you in yours is inconvenient, my new tavern was picked to have private rooms for such conversations and a private side entrance for distinguished guests who prefer to avoid the customers.

Yours,
Archduchess Jilia Bainilus de Ravounel i Kintargo

Your Highness,

If you believe consensus of the archdukes can be arrived at I think that it is certainly hard to object to as a selection process for the committee's elected and sortition. I hope to present the candidates when I present the bill, but do not need to know of them before that time.

I would be delighted to receive you for morning tea tomorrow at my residence. The matters you wish to discuss deserve proper attention, and my home affords us both the privacy and comfort such conversations require. Shall we say second bell past dawn?

With warm regards,
Arodea Carlota Guiomar de Chelam
