"I pulled all the books you mentioned not having read that weren't on your wishlist," Lev says, "and there are some other ones I think you might like-- they're all yours if you want them."

"Getting them home might be a bit of a challenge! But thank you, it's amazing." Lev needs to be hugged. 

"You could take them on the plane?"

"I've only got so much room in my suitcase." 

"...I can get you another suitcase? Unless suitcases are surprisingly expensive?"

...rich people. "Sure, if you'll also pay the checked-bag fee, airlines are the worst." 

"Sorry, I don't know how airplanes work, my life can be pretty neatly divided into 'too poor to fly anywhere' and 'can borrow my cofounder's private plane.'"

"Makes sense." He nuzzles Lev's shoulder. "Anyway. It's awesome, thank you." 

"You're welcome." Lev kisses her.

Mmm. Kissing is nice, kissing is easy. He misses Marlo already. 

"You can go back to your room whenever you want some time alone," Lev says, "although of course I'd be happy to spend as much time with you as you want."

"I don't need time alone just yet but I'll keep that in mind." 

"I'm sorry I'm-- kind of bad at people."

"It's okay. You're doing fine." 

"I haven't actually ever had, uh. Friends."

"Well, I like talking to you, so." 

"Thank you. --I realize you're just saying that because I'm paying you but it's still nice."

"I mean, it's also true, talking to you about books and math is fun." 

"Thank you." He touches Luna's hair. "I really do just want you to be happy."

What the hell do you say to that. He is so not qualified for this. 

He pets Lev's hair and says "You're a sweetheart." 

Lev kisses her, gentle and sweet.

This he is qualified for; he kisses Lev back, just as sweet. 

"I want to make you feel good."

He kisses Luna's cheek, kisses down her neck, and bites one of the places he bit before.
