When Sasha is walking home from school, he stumbles across the smallest and most adorable dog in the world.
Sasha's quieter than usual for the rest of the day and waits for Lilith after sixth period.
Asher has been nervously checking in on Sasha's well-being every ten minutes.
His pings always come back: he's worried but fine.
"Hi! There's a tree near the bike cage that doesn't usually have anyone under it after class, we can talk there."
...Sasha's worrying seems to be spiking.
Asher runs to the school just in case.
"I literally didn't speak the language for years and nobody noticed, you're probably fine." As usual the tree has nobody under it, and it's been long enough that most of the people who ride their bikes home have collected said bikes and left. (Marlo's bike is still locked to the fence. Marlo is not in sight.)
She is way too female for him to be interested. He also flops on the grass. "So where were we?"
He persistently ignores the contact and tries to steer her towards a slightly less surface-level analysis.
Lilith can be dragged to a less surface-level analysis kicking and screaming!
Also, she is very visibly not wearing a bra and wants Sasha to both know it and observe how jiggly her breasts are.
Sasha may be gaining some new insight into why all the lesbians keep dating her. She is the only bi girl who has mastered the secret of hitting on people, if not the secret of appropriate targeting of same.
Her... flesh sacks.... sure are bouncing? He is really confused why people find this attractive.
He seriously doubts that she's trying to say anything in the subtext of her Midsummer analysis, mostly because he doubts Lilith could identify subtext if it bit her, but he's thinking about it anyway.
Asher, lurking on top of a tree, ponders this situation and decides to opt for the "mind control her then fuck her and eat her" plan due to his general enthusiasm for flesh sacks.
"...so why Midsummer in particular?" he says, because oh my god stop bouncing your flesh sacks at me this is so uncomfortable.
Of fucking course she does.
'I can't imagine things go well for him after Titania wakes up, though, it isn't like she's any less vengeful than he is,' he doesn't say, because he isn't stupid.
"My favorite's Puck, always has been, when I was reading it for the first time I liked how he was outside most of the action but still managed to be a major character," he says.
He debates responses to that and picks "I think my boyfriend might have some opinions there."
