It turns out that, for all the fuss that was made about it, this dance is actually very boring.
This is only just barely a surprise; any event that requires chaperones is an event that Lindsay generally doesn't look forward to. But it is true. Lindsay makes a soft noncommittal noise and threads one hand through Ash's hair.
"I'm going to regret this if it turns out you're secretly an agent of the Emperor."
"Not much point worrying since you can get me to do whatever you want by making that face at me."
