There aren't that many things he wants in this world.
What he really wants, above all else, is his family back.
So he asks.
"My uncle has been catatonic for nearly five years. Can you help him?"
"There was a death last night. Animal attack. You know what that means."
"Yes, let's get the others. Do you know the details? I'm assuming Scott wasn't involved since he should've been sleeping in his pocketed house."
"Yeah. That's why this a problem. We thought the alpha was just using Scott to kill people, but it looks like that was just for fun. He can kill whoever whenever he wants."
He follows Fenris' lead.
The others are gathered.
"Okay, I'm going to be the one asking the stupid question. But any chance this wasn't an animal attack?"
"Alright. Do the victims appear to be random or is there any sort of connection or pattern?"
"No connection so far. Bus driver, guy who worked at the movie rental place..."
"Okay, what sort of information do you have on the investigation? It could be useful to figure out what is the alpha's range and maybe a search pattern. Equip us with tranquilizer darts..."
If they'd like a map with all of the attacks conveniently circled, he has that.
"Thank you, Stiles."
Fenris gives him a wingpat. He looks at the map and tries to figure out if there is any pattern to it or any sign of the alpha's hunting zone.
"...so could the alpha be controlling him right now, or is this less terrifying than I think it is?"
"That wasn't what I meant. But please check just in case. I mean he usually sleeps in the house I conjured and usually doesn't come over before going to school."
"Oh. Okay."
So he goes over with the group what he knows so far- not much, really.
Indeed not... what Stiles thinks of setting up a trap to attract the alpha? There is an obvious bait.
"I don't want to put Scott right in front of the Alpha, that's the exact opposite of what I want. Different plan."
"I don't want Scott to be in danger either. We could create a trap using portals such that the Alpha would never be able to reach Scott."
