There aren't that many things he wants in this world.
What he really wants, above all else, is his family back.
So he asks.
"My uncle has been catatonic for nearly five years. Can you help him?"
"Yeah, that. It sounds awful, to put everyone through that. I guess if no one would know."
"I didn't pick the details of how my immortality magic works, but it is better than the currently available alternative. Does it mean you wouldn't be interested?"
"No, I don't think so. It's not subtle, either, so I don't think my mom will want it."
"Reasonably, I'm hoping to find a way for the wings to shift so we all can go back walking on public again. If you change your mind let me know."
"Of course."
"I think you should tell your mom about the entire thing."
"That was a suggestion and not an order. And you should know her better than I do? One of us could be there to answer her questions if you'd like."
"Well, do you think she would react negatively? Plus, if she knows we could give her a vial of immortality water for her to drink during an emergency."
"If you're okay with it, I'll explain you guys to her. I don't think I can explain me."
"Okay. What are you going to say if she asks why we are so interested in talking to you?"
"I can explain about the other Felix, say that the other me is more interesting. Probably true anyway."
"He is less than an year ahead of you. Anything he can possible do that is more 'interesting' you can do it too, except with more resources because we are here to help."
"I don't know. I've always wanted to be a nurse like mom, or a vet like Dr. Deaton."
Fenris eyes him for a moment. "Should I get Felix so he can like reassure you, maybe hug you or something? I am not good at this sort of reassurance."
"Oh, we never decided on the issue with Derek's old body. What are we supposed to do with it?"
