"He's cute, smart, and funny, I'm not sure what there is to lose."

"To each their own. So, Ade, what are your plans? Joining any clubs, running for student council, volunteering, tutoring, do you like parties, do you like fashion, want to be friends?" 

"I joined the lacrosse team and did not look into other clubs yet. Don't know about student council but tentatively positive about that. Volunteering, enh, I think I prefer to do my charity by donating money. Tutoring, possible, but also enh. Parties are great, don't particularly pay attention to fashion, would love to be friends. And I think you owe me a hypothetical."

"I'm sure I don't know what you mean. I live in reality, where things are crystal clear and everyone knows where they stand. The world of hypotheticals is fun, but kind of messy." 

She shrugs. "By the way Stiles, we should talk about polyamory later."

Lydia raises an eyebrow. She takes her phone out, and rather conspicuously makes note of something. 

She puts it away.

"Probably," he says, unconcerned. 

"Should we do that before or after the movie?" 

She grins at Lydia. "Probably before?"

"Don't mind me," she says innocently.

"I'm sure if your talk leads to anything interesting, you'll tell me."

"Will I? Even after you looked at me like that while you said I would?"

Why no she's definitely not flirting with her date's crush in front of him, nope.

"You know what I want; it's you I'm curious about. Get back to me tomorrow." 

"Yes, ma'am."

"Ade, do you mind if I steal Scott after you're done with him?"

"'Course not, feel free to consensually use him as you please."
