"So you could sit with us? We're kind of an exclusive group." 

"But if he was sitting with you before I showed up...?"

"He's kind of always around. He's on the team."

"He's used to it by now." 

"If you say so. I should probably meet him, too, at some point, then, although I expect I will if he's on the team."

"You can sit with him and I can sit with the cool kids?"

"No." 

"I will refrain from making the crass joke that just crossed my mind and will instead just say that I'll probably sit with him at some point, too."

"Fine, whatever."

Lunch draws to a close. 

"You can sit with me whenever you want, though," he says, getting up and taking his tray with him to wherever it is it has to be disposed.

The cool kids similarly dispose of their trays. 

"You probably know how to get to chem by now." 

"In very deed. You coming with me for absolutely no reason whatsoever again, or do I see you on the field later?"

"I'll catch you out there, Ade. Have fun." 

"Later."

Chem!

"Now, I'm sure you're all looking forward to escaping this cesspit as much as I am, but first I'll need you to pretend to understand basic scientific principles. Put your heads together, and when that's still not enough, try picking up the collection of paper next to you and reading it." 

He approaches Ade as he sits.

"Mr. Iroko, I'm sure you've been enjoying your partnership with not one, but two, of your female peers, but I'm afraid I'll have to put you with a partner. Try a threesome on your own time. Mr. Daehler, make some room over there." 

He points. 

Mr. Daehler makes room for his new partner.

"We'll miss you."

"Me, too!" And to new partner: "Hi! Adedayo, but Ade's better. Nice to meet you."

"Hey. Sorry about this, looks like you had a nice thing going." 

"Hmm, you know, when life closes a door and stuff."

"Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom. You can set up here, I'll go get today's nectar of empirical discovery." 

"My, am I special or do you quote romantic things like that to every boy you meet?" he asks, winking and starting to set up there.

His lab partner gathers the required materials, and they can begin. 

He's fairly quiet, after the initial remark. 

If he doesn't wanna talk then Ade can not-talk and just be quietly efficient and have fun with chemistry.

Chemistry will pass quietly.

Lydia and Allison are done first, but Ade can push for second if he wants.
