Asher is happy to do that! He is holding Sasha's hand in order to guide his friend through the crowds and for no ulterior motivation whatsoever.

(Sasha may hear screaming as they get close.)

…alright…

Sasha does not so much have the concept "roller coasters," and all the ones here are indoors where he hasn't seen them. Maybe it's like the Snow White one. Who knows.

Having Asher holding his hand is nice. Having Asher lead him around while his eyes are closed is a totally different kind of nice. He keeps his eyes shut and occasionally squeezes Asher's hand.

Asher maybe sneaks in a plausibly deniable butt grab.

He does not react to this in any way that a person other than Asher might notice, but he does hold Asher's hand very very tightly.

"Can I open my eyes now," he says, when they're near the front of the line.

"Yes!"

They're getting on a log flume! The log flume takes them past various adorable animatronic animals singing. Stagecoaches! Farm equipment! Br'er Rabbit is going to his laughing place! Bees are attacking Br'er Bear while Br'er Rabbit laughs, but Br'er Fox is about to hit him with a beehive! Turtles riding a geyser! Water fountains! Br'er Rabbit has been caught by Br'er Fox in a cave!

There are a small number of very small drops. If Sasha is paying attention he can hear the sound of machinery cranking the flumes upward.

This is actually a story he enjoys — he can see the punchline as soon as Br'er Rabbit begs the fox not to throw him in a briar patch, but it's a good punchline, and one he wouldn't usually expect from a story told in Auradon.

Kaleva is twitching with anticipation.

And then Br'er Fox drops Br'er Rabbit into the briar patch and they plunge fifty feet at forty miles per hour.

Almost everyone on the ride screams.

Sasha's clinging to Kaleva's hand and laughing the whole way down.

Kaleva is laughing as soon as they hit bottom and he sees Sasha's face.

"Good surprise?" he says, as the animals sing Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.

He's not listening to the singing at all.

"Best surprise! Can we do this one again."

"Yes!!! And Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain are like that all the way through."

"I actually liked the story of this one, it — doesn't seem nearly as Auradonian as the others."

"That's probably because it's a story black people tell in Louisiana," Asher says from behind them.

"That makes sense!"

He's still bright-eyed and smiling.

Kaleva is so pleased with himself.

He kind of wishes he were home so he could kiss Kaleva, but also that was so much fun.

It is just as fun the second time.

"You have to go on Space Mountain!"

Tomorrowland is… different from the other parts of the park. In a good way, but in a way he's going to have to think about.

Space Mountain is, as promised, like the drop in Splash Mountain but all the time.

There are little lights around the roller coaster that look like stars.

He'd probably think it was beautiful if he weren't going too fast to really see it.

It's fun! Adrenaline is fun when you're not actually in any danger!

Then they can go on all the roller coasters!

Tomorrowland is easily his favorite part of the park; it's shiny and optimistic and hopeful and spacious, everything made up of clean lines; it drives home the meaning of looking forward to in a way he hadn't realized he needed; it's all of his favorite parts of Auradon. Going back through the area with the rides about various Auradonian celebrities just reminds him of the things he likes least about being here.

He glances at Asher's reaction when they get to a section calling itself New Orleans Square.

"I can't believe the restaurants here call themselves 'Creole.'"
