"Yes, it is," Shin agrees.

And come Friday morning, Ant is reluctantly getting ready to school. "Why can't I help us move?"

Ira ruffles eir hair. "Because your education is important, Bean. And we've got moving covered between us four." He gestures to Shin, Deskyl and DZ.

Ant grumbles, but leaves.

"You guys ready?" Shin asks DZ and Deskyl.

"Mmhmm." She checks the weight of the bag DZ's prepared for her, and then slings it over her shoulder.

    "Shall I call the cab now?"

Shin glances at Ira, and then smiles back at DZ. "Yeah, go for it."

She does; they'll be by soon.

Shin gives the room a last once over to make sure they haven't forgotten anything, and then goes to take care of checking out.

Ira perches himself on the curb next to their bags, humming absently as they wait on the taxi.

Deskyl waits in the room with DZ, for now; no point in attracting more attention than they have to.

Shin comes and taps on the door when the taxi arrives. "You guys ready?" he asks.

"Yes, sir. Could you get the door, please?"

Deskyl carries DZ out and to the car, as if she were an unactivated prototype of herself, and arranges her in the middle of the back seat.

Ira's taken the front seat, and fends off the driver's questions with a sharp look, and a flat: "Not your business."

(Deskyl and DZ, with no ability to communicate unless they want to give the droid away, sit quietly.)

The drive, thankfully, doesn't take too long, and Shin takes care of paying the driver while Ira grabs their bags.

And Deskyl wrestles DZ out of the cab and totes her into the house, leaving her to look around while she goes back for their bag.

She will meet Ira and Shin just about managing all their bags between them.

She takes a bag from each of them - she will absolutely stare Ira down if she has to - and brings them in.

He's figured out she's about as stubborn as he is, and lets her with only a token protest.

"You guys go ahead and pick out a room," he tells her.

    "She'd like the master bedroom, so she'll have room to set up a workshop. She can use part of the basement for it instead, though, if you'll be too cramped otherwise."

Shin laughs. "We've been living in each others back pockets for a while, this is going to be positively luxurious, go ahead."

Deskyl nods, and goes to get set up.

Shin and Ira can be heard setting up one or other of the rooms.

After a little while, Ira comes and taps on Deskyl and DZ's door.

"I'm heading to pick Ant up," he says. "Gonna take em shopping on my way back, you guys need anything?"

"I don't think so." She checks with Deskyl. "No, sir, thank you."
