Sadde doesn't need her father's permission to learn to drive. So she can just—learn it.
Sure. Practice makes it perfect. Away they go.
Sadde, as a good student, is probably being very mindful of things like what she sees in her rear mirror. Like that biker behind them, completely covered in leathers despite the hot sun, the only thing visible being the white-hair trailing behind her...
"Fashionable." Then Felix blinks. "Uh... the next town in that direction is at least an hour away..."
"—I can't either. Uh, what? You think we're being followed? They could just be going to the same place as us."
"I guess. I am probably just have been paranoid lately, not getting enough sleep." Sigh. "Still, Fenris wasn't going to get too busy to at least ping back at this hour of the day."
Felix looks at the white-haired biker. "Uh, maybe turn left at the next intersection, just to see if she follows?"
The biker reacts immediately to follow them. Felix - who can look at her directly - says. "I think she just spoke through an walkie-talkie."
"Okay, that's actually kinda freaky. Do we call nine-one-one for this kind of thing...?"
The white-haired woman approaches the passenger side. She is holding some kind of metallic cylinder in her hand.
Felix, not really thinking, throws the first thing he grabs (a book) at the woman's hand. She drops the cylinder and turns around to pick it up.
"Speed up!" he tells Sadde.
Felix grabs his phone. "No signal."
They are back in the intersection again. The biker is catching up to them.
Felix is looking around looking for anything and trying to make the phone work.
The biker is quickly catching up to them, apparently aiming to reach Felix's side of the car once more.
Come on Fenris where are you—
"I might want to crash into her," Sadde says, mostly succeeding at sounding casual.
"Try not to hurt her too much. Just breaking her bike should be enough and then we can get to safety," he says grimly.
The woman is getting closer.
The biker notices and manages to brace herself, but she can't do it and keep her hold on the cylinder. With the impact she and her bike spiral out of the road.
The car sways suddenly, like something hit it. Felix turns to look back. "The cylinder is in the back seat!"
The car sways again; this time it feels more like it was hit by a strong wave or something? They hear a metallic clack from the back. Felix undoes his belt and bends towards the thing, his hand holding onto Sadde's shoulder.
There is an even stronger wave of force. This time they can even feel it emanating like a bubble from the backseat.
The car lifts into the air and rolls over.
