"You might invite Lúthien to Wakanda, it's less of an ask than 'to a war zone' and once she's here she'll be easier to persuade."

"That's a good idea. Shuri, you want to come or did the radioactivity scare you off?"

"I can go if you think it might be helpful."

"Lúthiens like princesses. My Lúthien kept trying to get me to have a sleepover with her and Galadriel. I can't stand Galadriel. If this Lúthien wants to bring Galadriel I will do my best to pretend to get along with her so don't tell either of them I said that."

"What's wrong with Galadriel?"

"She's really bitchy and lets it interfere with important judgment calls, and, like, she has reasons to be bitchy, but it didn't make it more fun."

"Okay. I liked Lúthien, I'll come along again."

And they are back at Doriath's edge. "It's not go time but we wondered if you'd like to come visit Wakanda meanwhile!"

There's a long wait. 

Eventually - "is it safe?"

"Sure. It's got a forcefield - not exactly like yours, but a forcefield - and the recent nearby fighting's all over."

"Wakanda is the safest place on Earth. We allow very few outsiders but we can invite you now because of the extraordinary circumstances."

"I don't -"

" - I should ask my mother -"

"Well, you can if you like, that's up to you."

"...no, I have to, no one can enter or leave Doriath without her permission."

"I mean, if she were keeping you prisoner and you didn't appreciate that I could probably get you out but it might complicate coming back."

"Uh, she's not keeping me prisoner, it's not like that..."

"Ask permission if you like."

"She'll say no."

"If you want to leave without asking permission we can also do that."

She stares at her for a long time even by Elf standards. 

"Well. Since no one in Doriath is a prisoner. I think that means... it's okay to leave. If I'm not going anywhere dangerous."

"Wakanda's safe, and if you did run into something surprising I could look out for you. You ready?"
