The cot is in the bedroom, under a new blue and white blanket that seems to be too large for it; there's a small table by the head of the bed, and a set of low shelves, currently empty, by the door. The bathroom is similarly sparse - a bright green fluffy towel hangs from a bar on the wall, and a small collection of soap bottles similar to the one in Pradnakt's bathroom has taken up residence by the sink, but it's otherwise bare. The storage room is likewise empty except for a movable clothes rack and a small table.

It's not much, he knows it's not much. But on top of everything else-

It's more than he's ever had. And it's too much.

He curls down in the corner of the store room and tries to remind himself how to breathe, tries to grasp onto the...calmness he'd felt, working side-by-side with Daisy, and Pradnakt, and Nine, the calm he'd felt when one of them hugged him-

Daisy sits next to him, offering a hug.

He flinches slightly to start and then sort-of-lunges into her, snuggling into her side, and hiding his face against her shoulder.

She squeezes him tight and rubs his back.

"M'sorry," he mumbles, clinging to her.

"It's all right," she murmurs.

Pradnakt shows up in the doorway, peering in. Everything all right?

Daisy nods. "Just overwhelmed, I think."

He flinches slightly at Pradnakt's appearance, but it's far more reflexive than anything else. He sneaks a look back at her, still keeping his head mostly hidden against Daisy's shoulder. He nods ever so slightly. (Because he thinks what Daisy said sounds right. And it's okay now, Daisy's hugging him.)

"All right. Nova, that's enough for today - you can be in here if you want to, but don't on my account."

He nods slowly. "...outside? Please?" He doesn't, however, seem inclined to let go of Daisy, which he is pretty sure is going to be a problem.

"All right." She joins them on the floor, squatting: "C'mere, Love."

He sneaks another look at Pradnakt, not sure what he's supposed to do here.

She appears to be offering a hug.

He presses briefly back into Daisy, and then shifts slightly towards Pradnakt, managing to take one hand from Daisy to move towards Pradnakt.

"There we go, come on." She leans forward a bit to help him transfer, and then scoops him up entirely; Daisy stands at the same time, keeping a hand on his shoulder.

He goes still when she scoops him up, but doesn't thrash or flail, and then settles for clinging to her in place of Daisy. (He's glad Daisy's still got a hand on his shoulder.)

She makes her way out, going carefully sideways through the doors so there's no risk of bumping his head and so Daisy can stay with him. Once outside, she goes around to the shaded side of the house and lowers them to the ground. "Better?"

He manages a deep breath, looks around, names what he can see in his head, and then nods, not entirely certain, but it is better. "Thank you."

"Good." She gives him a squeeze, then shifts to a more comfortable position; Daisy settles next to them, where he can easily go back to her if he wants to. They seem content to just sit, for now.

He stays clinging to Pradnakt for a couple of minutes, and then shifts back to Daisy. (Pradnakt might seem content, but he's pretty sure she said she had things to do today...)

If she does, she doesn't seem too inclined to get back to it; she leans back on her hands and looks up at the sky.

He stays leaning against Daisy, his own eyes drifting to the sky as well after a little while, breathing steady, not-quite-relaxing.

"I'm trying to think if there's anything else I can do to make this easier for you," she says, after a while. "I don't think so, or at least if there is I'm not coming up with it. Well. Aside from easing up on your fire, I guess, and that has its own problems. We can wait, though, I don't think we're too far from the point where I'll be helping you control it rather than just doing it for you, and that'll help."

"I- but- you...you are?" he says. "I- it's- it's not...it's not your fault I don't- can't get it?"
