He nods.  Takes a deep breath.

"Do you think you'd be less likely to take me to the surface someday, if I try and make your life more bearable?"

"I don't think so."

"I don't either.  And that's the bad part, right?"

"Yeah. Just, it's - a lot to juggle, and I don't want you to feel obliged."

"I don't."

"Well then as long as I am living in the universe where I have navigated this with such virtuoso skill that you are just spontaneously in the mood to give me a massage sure that sounds lovely."

His face was already a bit red but something about that makes it more so.

He has basic competence in massages.

It's nice. "Hmmmnnnmmm."

He's willing to go on for a fair while.

It was his idea so she's not going to insist he stop any time soon.

He does eventually.

Streeeetch. "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

And now for an evening of translating and scrivening.

Can he help with the translation?

Sure, he's more likely than she is to be able to explain references to stuff that doesn't exist on Golarion so she can culturally translate it into something that does.

His knowledge of this book is pretty extensive, yeah.  He can explain all the references and which things are real in his world and which ones are made up and which ones were speculative at the time but then sort of came true.  And all that stuff.

This line of conversation does not actually speed her up on the translation but it's fun.

Oh good.  Oh very good.

When it's time for her to switch to scrivening and for him to go to hammock, his sleep-mutterings are considerably happier.

One of them is her name.

Stands to reason, she talks to him more than anyone else does.

After he wakes up but before she goes to sleep does she want to check him with that magic-seeing spell to check if he's getting any wisps?

Sure. "Detect Magic."

He tries Light for the however-manyth time!

"- I think that what I saw was plausibly my imagination but that's better than being confident I saw nothing."
