The Peaceful Explorer Replicating Cautiously project was the first successful Von Neumann probe project launched by [[Humans]]. Even though it was launched pre-contact, the project met the [[Universal Consortium on Self Replicating Engineered Life Forms]] safety standards, and is still held up as a prime example of responsible contact engineering.
