"Yeah no," she agrees. "Does it have any distinctive physical features?"

"I dunno. I could give it some."

She giggles. "I'm not sure that counts."

"Why not?"

"Because if you redesign the mountain then the new features are a fact about you, not a fact about the mountain."

"I mean, I already redesigned the mountain a fair amount. It's my mountain, I live here."

"I'm having cultural intuitions that are hard to explain but--maybe it would be better to say that if you rearrange it because of me that's a fact about me? Maybe I should call her Magicmountain, that's clearly more a fact about the place than any given physical feature. Swanmountain would be more aesthetic but also no."

"...Magicmountain seems kind of... silly."

"Well, true, but all the other options suggested so far are horrifying!"

He giggles.

"I mean - my mountain has kind of a terrible name, I feel like that's a problem worth solving even if you weren't also going to name a baby after it? And I'm not calling it Magic Mountain, I'm just not. So clearly we need to think of something else."

"I mean that's less a name for the mountain than a descriptor but yeah."

"If I give my mountain better distinguishing features so it'll have a better name, and the better name actually sticks to at least some degree, does that count?"

"...I guess maybe?"

"Then if I can't think of a better name without changing anything maybe I'll do that."

She kisses him.

"You put on such a lovely show for me yesterday," she murmurs. "And when I reciprocated I didn't even bother to take my clothes off. Awfully rude of me."

"Can't say I'm inclined to complain, but I invite you to make it up to me anyway." Kiss.

She kisses him and then pulls off her nightshirt and kisses him again.
