An invitation to a party appears on various university billboards inviting people to the Kappa Alpha greek house located in the mostly finished Castle Commonwealth mall on the edge of town. The notice instructs people to follow the access road at 67 Lost Nation drive and enter through the back door and promises that signs will be posted to guide people to the party itself.
Alex nods but otherwise just walks, occasionally he'll mutter about gravity and gamma rays.
Thankfully it's a short walk. Alex starts flipping channels until he find one with the information he's looking for. "Alright, I think I understand everything they're saying. If I had like a week or access to their data I might be able to check what they're saying against the improved physics this place has on offer. As is, I don't really see a way to. Maybe there's some sort of stellar mechanics exhibit that explains it all at a science museum or in some piece of software in the mall. Otherwise, I can tell you that if they're bullshitting it isn't obvious."
"Yeah," he looks at his feet. "If the planet is dying Jen would want to be there. Well, probably."
"Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I'm not sure why whoever built this place didn't just tell us that but it's too much to be a coincidence. That trajectory it's also too weird for me to think it's natural."
"If you want creative explanations for things ask Emily. I'm not alien to outside the box thinking but Emily beats me by a mile and when she's being serious she's often right."
"Yeah, me too. I don't really see how it explains the weirdness with not talking to us or explaining things but maybe she'll have an idea for that too."
"Yeah, I think that sounds good. I'm not that much of a cook but I'm good with cereal and we definitely got some of that."
