"Tireh, Niari is the interstellar coordinator for Revelation's Ganymede Circling Police. Niari, Tireh's been handling multiversal relations for the population of Beach."

"Hello. I'm not an angel, I just have wings."

"Some humans have wings too, if they want them badly enough," says Niari.

"They seem like they'd be very hard to dress around. Not if you were an angel, I suppose."

"It's not that hard. We're mostly clothing optional at home anyway, it just happened to be getting cold so I had one on when I went dimension hopping."

"Milliways has a rule about clothing, it's very particular of them."

"If Milliways did not have that rule would you all be going around nude because wow."

"We typically wear clothing."

Giggle. "What's the big deal?"

"I, uh, have no idea how to explain it. Particularly not to two interstellar coordinators and an alternate universe version of my own brother."

"You don't actually have to be an interstellar coordinator to talk to me," Niari tells Tireh.

"Oh, good."

"I apprised the GCP of the unique security and information security challenges Beach presents. I said I didn't think they urgently needed a plan for teleporting daeva, is that your estimation also?"

"Yeah, the Valar have poked everyone and Cam introduced us to canned fish so it'll be a long while before anybody who summoned a daeva dies. Even if one of us did I think they'd just want to come back and mostly don't have enough imagination to object to a binding limiting their movements."

"I cannot tell you how much it delights me to hear that."

"I have sort of mixed feelings about everyone being really glad that my species is short on ambition and attention span!"

"You had enough of both to find us pretty quickly, I was very impressed. But I do think it's good that people wouldn't have an ambition to go wander the multiverse unbound, because then we would have to discourage that ambition."

Shrug. "I'm short on attention span the way Mirelótë is patient, I think. It's there but it's not getting in my way."

Nod. "Niari, care to get a door to anywhere else in the multiverse while you're here?"

"Are there things I ought to see rather than just hear about?"

"People have nice things to say about our architecture and I could introduce you to some of my staff but I wouldn't call it important - I don't even know if Cir or Ruviri or Ava are around to get us a door to Godspring -"

"Yeah, they are, Ava came down this morning with a list and I made the stuff for her so she wouldn't have to carry it upstairs."

"Who are they?"

"Cir and Ruviri are redmages, it's one of the Godspring magic kinds. Some Elves bought out their contracts with the Temple-Guild so they could have a personal redmage -"

"I haven't met them but I don't think that was the order of operations."
