The Valar announce that they've done as much as they can in Singularity (they can't bring back peoples' babies in that critical period either, but they can get them earlier versions) and are setting up portals between there and Sanity as soon as they are confident they've cleaned up the plague. A bunch of Elf architects have this wild idea for a fivedimensional city where alternating intersections are interdimensional portals between various Valinors and they get eagerly to setting it up.
"I'm not really in the middle of anything I couldn't do on a long-term summons here - small chance thing's'd come up..."
"Right but Gerlinde can't go around with you everywhere and we're trying not to break the law. Yet. So you'd have to bop around some."
"Then I can try to stop by every couple days or something but I'd probably take summons in the meantime and people sometimes don't let me go."
"Yeah or there was this weird cult in Canada, I was a little worried the GCP was going to take that one as another chance to try to arrest me."
"After a couple of days of being continuously attacked with a flamethrower one of them stepped too close and I dragged him into the circle and was scary and then they let me go. If you don't consider keeping a daeva kidnapping and you don't consider attacking a daeva with a flamethrower assault then you probably think that warrants menacing charges or something."
"It was painful but I really do heal fine, being trapped is scarier than being hurt. I checked, they're not bothering anyone else. Is there an exception if the daeva's in their circle or something, the moon guys didn't supervise me -"
"Yeah, in the circle is allowed. I wonder how hard it would be to make a circle for you literally the size of Luxembourg! That would be a heck of a stunt."
"...ooooh. Even if it were just a full room that'd do, I could stay in when she had somewhere to be. But that would be a good stunt."
"If it's flat enough, sure, easy. Might want to triple-check that terrain features don't invalidate part of the binding - I know someone who might know that -"
"Okay, so here's my email, lemme know when you've figured out if the Circle of Luxembourg is go."
"...how vague can I be, I had this pastry this one time that was absofuckinglutely divine but I have absolutely no memory of what it was, like, called."
"I can figure it out if you gimme a minute to go through my vacation photos." Rummage rummage. "Lunchtime last year July 17."
