The Valar announce that they've done as much as they can in Singularity (they can't bring back peoples' babies in that critical period either, but they can get them earlier versions) and are setting up portals between there and Sanity as soon as they are confident they've cleaned up the plague. A bunch of Elf architects have this wild idea for a fivedimensional city where alternating intersections are interdimensional portals between various Valinors and they get eagerly to setting it up.
Orcs enjoy it and keep asking if he wants to hold any babies since it's so sad daeva can't have them.
The city is crowded enough that they could keep finding new tasters for days straight but the Elves will understand if he wants to go home.
"Woo!" She picks up her sign ("Mollie Clymer Died In Vain") and shows him to the subway, which takes them to the march site.
"She was next to a fairy who was threatening somebody and someone thought she was the summoner, because the summoner would have to be escorting the fairy, right, and killed her."
"Also the fairy didn't actually hurt anyone he just told off somebody for yelling at their kid."
Sigh. "When Ganymede was trying to arrest me for the vlog I thought about showing up for the trial unbound with my summoner back home in Hazel but Cam said probably hundreds of people would die in riots. I'm not going to risk anybody but - that's not a very stable way for the world to be, at all, dunno how to make it better..."
"My brother's boyfriend, he grew up here - he's a demon now - and he pays a lot of attention to daeva incidents and stuff."
