"Oooh. That's a great idea, if only we had tomatoes. I wonder if they'll have 'em in Cordova."

She keeps tending the cuts of venison.

"We'll just have to see when we get there, won't we?"

Hyacinth grabs the cheese and tries to cut some thin slices to add to the sandwich. They come out slightly blocky, but that's not so bad. 

And then Sable pulls the venison off the fire. "Okay, meat's ready." 

She carefully lays strips of it onto the sandwiches, and adds some lettuce to one sandwich, then plates them up and sits down.

Sin takes her sandwich and sits down, and starts eating. A smile comes to her face from the taste... and then a thoughtful look.

"You know," Hibiscus says after a moment. "If I'm looking for a Capital-P Purpose, dealing with Pagutum in here so others don't have to could be worthwhile for me. It'd use my skills for something... meaningful. And we already have a plot hook in that direction..." 

She grins. "How do you feel about kicking some bigots' asses in VR?"

Sable smiles, then Hailey slips into front and grins sharply. "I feel like being a violent, expansionist, nation-conquering racist in a world where violence is allowed means you're just volunteering to be stabbed in the face. I'm inclined to take them up on that kind invitation."

"Oh good." Hibiscus grins. 

"Let's try and make good time to Cordova, then. I want to see what the Gay Blades have to say to us, sooner than later." 

She laughs and nods, then takes another bite of her sandwich. "Yep, sounds like a plan. Pity I can't carry you for extra speed, but oh well. Have to work up to that eventually."

"We'll get there in time. If I'm not too diverted by exploring what this place has for sex magic on the way."

"Sex magic, you say? That's definitely worth looking into. Hell, we'd buy a tree if one looked promising."

"I think there's an official sex magic tree, let me see what's in it..." 

Hibiscus brings up her browsing interface and begins to flick through menus. 

"Okay, so it's got the basics. It's pretty small and vanilla though. Inducing pleasure, vibration, back and forth motion, and there are the expected stamina, breath and strength buffs too. Some minor shapeshifting..."

She tilts her head. "I might want to take the Pleasure output node and maybe a genital shapeshift, those sound fun. And I've never tried a vibrator before. But it's a little small for what I expected..." 

She flicks through a few more menus. 

"Online guides say that the majority of the sexual content in the game is locked behind a gating mechanism of showing you can handle consent and so on, piece by piece, kink by kink. I'm checking for any of the in-game accomplishments I might have unlocked..." 

"Aha. Check your accomplishments screen. I've got one for having sex that would have killed me in real life and enjoying it the whole way through. "Flickering Candleflame. Grants basic access to the first node of the Masochism and Sacrifice trees."

"The Masochism tree's first node is... Convert Pain. It lets you use pain as a power source, transforming it into something else - I expect it depends on what nodes you match up into it, but Convert Pain with a Pleasure node probably has the obvious effect. It looks like the later nodes offer regeneration and continuing sensation from severed parts."

She flicks through a few more menus. 

"The Sacrifice tree has Investiture from the Ritual Magic tree as its first node; it looks like I get early access to it and Offering and Sacrifice after it without having to pour a bunch more nodes into the Sustained Spell tree. That's convenient. I might get it early then."

"Sounds handy." She starts checking their notifications. "Got two. 'Sharp, yet Soft' is for being exquisitely careful about consent in a dangerous scene, and unlocked first node of the vore tree, candification. 'Red in Tooth and Claw' is for doing well in a consensual sadistic scene, and provided a bite attack and claw shapeshift from the sadism tree."

"Ooh, claws..." Hyacinth shifts forward, a blush coming to her face. "I might want those, if you're.. willing to try from the other direction?"

Hailey flushes and bites her lip. "That sounds... fucking gorgeous." A heated exhale spills out of her. "I'll have to lock a version that can give someone else claws instead of just myself."

"Wonderful." Hyacinth grins. "So now we just need to quest and earn EXP. It's very important. The future of our sexual life depends upon - pfffft no I can't stay serious saying that. But it would be really nice." 

"Kill monsters and Pags — equating them would be an insult to monsters — for the sake of sexy violence. I love it."

Hibiscus swaps back in and takes a big bite out of her sandwich. "Mmmh. Let's eat and keep moving, then. And if we're lucky we'll run into something to kill on the journey."

She nods and pops the last bite of sandwich into her mouth. "I like it. Well, eat up, girlfriend."

She washes it down with some water.

Hibiscus grins challengingly. "Is that an order?~" 

But she eats nonetheless. 

"Yep."

She rises, kisses Hibi's cheek, and sets to cleaning up.

"Aw, phooey." Hibiacus giggles and finishes her sandwich. "Thanks for the food by the way."

She gets up and brings her plate over to the sink for Hailey. "You wash I'll dry?"

"Sounds like a plan."

The dishes don't take long, between the two of them.

And Hibiscus picks up her staff from the side of the room and heads on over to the front door, where she starts getting on her boots again.
