Fortunately the injury does not appear to be life-threatening, and head injuries always bleed a lot.
The fact he's woozy is not particularly worrying; after a bit of an evaluation, they decide he probably just has a mild injury and ask if someone will be available to watch over him for the next few days – check with him every couple of hours to ensure he's appropriately responsive and so on. (There is a helpful card. They manage to get to him quite quickly, and seem like they might be trying to hurry him out to make space for other, more seriously injured people.)
