"Should I get you on the list to be indestructible?" he asks Peka.

"I suppose? I don't know what the priority system looks like..."

"They looked up the other people that witch murdered in the original Rebecca's world, and they landed in vacuum in a neighboring universe, and the resurrection failed for unclear reasons probably related to their being wizards. So presently the priority list is all wizards who can trustworthily be made indestructible - but I think the trust bit's a real problem, so it would not be hard to sneak you in -"

"Well, I'm not attached to being destructible but I don't have any dangerous hobbies and I'm only five, so."

"I'll put it in but not urgently. We'd resurrect you right away if anything happened, of course."

"It's so neat that that's an of course."

"I can't really imagine a life without having that for granted." Squeeze. "You mentioned a dead boyfriend - now that there are lots of reds to help new ones integrate we could do some resurrections -"

"We didn't actually break up before he died so that might be a little awkward but he was a sweetie, it'd be good if he were alive again..."

"Anyone else, if we do a little batch they can readjust together -"

"There's the other people who died around then and his little sister who got sick the year before -" She names a few more.

He puts in a request. Tells her a few days later that a date's been scheduled.

"If I'm there at the time he'll probably, like, kiss me -"

"I, ah, may proclaim you're mine now because I kidnapped you but I'm not actually under the impression it works that way. What do you want -"

"Aren't Elves like super monogamous?"

"Are you an Elf now?"

"Nah but I have this boyfriend, see."

"He really really wants you to be happy."

"Which is very sweet of him and I shouldn't reward his sweetness by swanning off and making out with my dead ex if that would weird him out!"

"It's a weird world! - I wouldn't feel comfortable with a marriage like that, I don't think, but we are defying the template trend and didn't marry the first week and so it doesn't feel strange the same way -"

"Just because there are more of Rebecca doesn't mean me and Beka aren't legitimate uses! If anything the trend counting by - uh, hair color? - is not marrying week one."

"I think it is very sensible not to marry week one but all the Elven relationship norms are really about marriage so it'd be silly to try otherwise applying them."

"Anyway if I let him kiss me he'll read into it and probably be disappointed when I'm like 'yeah you were dead and then I got whisked off by an alien prince' - actually I know what he's gonna say, he'll be like 'is he hotter than me' and, like, you are, it'll just be weird -"

Giggle. "We can have someone else be there to explain things to them once they're ready."

"Yeah, probably a good idea. His parents are alive."

Family members of all of the reds scheduled for resurrection are invited to the relevant Lórien a week later.
