There's a summon.
"It's a book. It's fine. I just thought that anything with more long term relevance to the literary conversation, you would probably have already heard of."
"You'd be surprised how many conversations there are to track when you can read this many languages, but I appreciate the thought."
"I will bear that in mind for if it turns out tanks will work. Which, uh, I guess I should be finding that out..." He straightens his fingers and looks down at his hands for a moment before waking up a (non-chiplock) computer and doing something on it.
Not that Cam can tell.
"There's in theory a hookup for tanks, but they think it'll leak straight out if we put anything there now."
"Do you want, like, a whole replacement station, or are you on whatever the repair protocol is?"
"The satisfaction of a job well done and whatever satisfies the circle, dude, I'm a demon, we are not an impoverished people."
"Anyone with specific desires that can't be conveyed via suggestive eyebrow waggling has learned by now that they never get to ask for them and might as well content themselves with replica Alps and such at home. It's just jerks and helpful sorts taking random circles at this point and most summonses don't let you tell the difference."
"I didn't say I was one of them." (Although judging by his face he probably was.) "But it might be hard to get people to move."
"Lots of space stations were demon made! If this one wasn't that is probably not unrelated to why it's leaking!"
Shrug. "We're the same approximate thing as fairies and angels, just different powers. But if you're not used to adjusting for that or you're usually not a summoner at all, legit, I guess."
He does the looking-at-his-hands thing again. "I'm not used to it, no, and I'm not very - levelheaded. At the moment."
"Are you having some problem not related to the air? Or, uh, did it take a body count before you summoned me...?"
"I don't really know. There's a leak - there's maybe been a leak longer than there should have been, and something was wrong with the alarm systems so we didn't know about it? And... one of our guys who knows about that stuff went to go and try to fix it, and now she's dead."
"Everyone's been in, in kind of a hurry? So I don't know the details for certain. I could speculate. Her body's in the - maybe I shouldn't be telling you this." He has another quick sip of water. "So as to not betray the trust of the people here who are more on the suspicious side."
"Okay. Uh, I’m not under the impression that this makes a difference to what anyone would want you to say, but I can forensic it later so nothing visible is sensitive information really."
