It isn't strange to see wealthy humans in the Royal City of Relvos, but it is a little strange to have them for neighbors.
The young human couple that moves into a townhouse on the east side of the City is just exceptional enough, as humans go, that gossip spreads quickly through the district. One of them is a moderately capable Holy-element spellcaster who makes his living as healer. The other is a mysterious and beautiful Dark-element spellcaster who, when asked, tells people she's a homemaker, but she spends enough time absent from the family's townhouse that this is suspect. They arrive with an infant daughter, a precocious little thing with bright, inquisitive eyes.
One day, the child's mother, that mysterious and possibly suspicious Dark Mage, vanishes without a trace, and without an explanation, though Kale Runelove does seem to know something that he isn't saying.
