She'll happily talk until she drifts off to sleep in the middle of one of her tales.

He has river duties to attend to, of course, but he keeps an eye on her and her campsite, nudges away any wild animals or insects or the like that might bother her or damage her stuff. 

That's very thoughtful of him.

She wakes a couple hours later, refreshed and ready to go. After another quick bite to eat, of course.

He can provide more wine, if she wishes.

Sounds like the best way to start the morning.

He'll have to agree. 

Then back to the canoe after.

He walks on the water beside her, at least at first.

Practice makes perfect, and she's got nothing else to do.

He's happy to help her grow. 

She's learning so much on this trip already.
