i'm always honest about my dishonesty
Unit 1862 ( the first ever successfully uploaded consciousness ) and Saint Paramnesia ( the worst gaslighting gatekeeping girlboss on campus ) trip and fall into each other.

30-odd miles from Damascus, another 15 or so from student housing, and just off Route 450 - through the woods ( quickly across the highway so nobody sees ), just next to one of those $750,000-a-house suburbs - there's this campus. Addressless, 50 years abandoned, nevertheless someone is maintaining the lawn for the benefit of its neighbors; 24 buildings from the 1920s and a 25th for security. The place is huge, and not for sale. Quiet, dilapidated, and supposedly - you have it on good word - "hells of haunted".

In-person it's more quaint than creepy. Think red brick and open space.

Around the back is the part most people leave alone - nearest to security, fenced, and categorically uninteresting. Most of it is a vast concrete expanse with nowhere to hide. The only structure - hospital, inpatient - is used primarily for police training demonstrations. 7 stories up. Unknown number of stories down. Nobody can find blueprints of any of it, though most of the buildings are identical.

Most people miss this part: There's a single small white sign on the fence that reads DO NOT ENTER.
