"That makes sense... speaking of the Justice League... why did you break into the Watchtower?"

"I thought it would be funny. It's a decommissioned Green Lantern sector house, the League got it from the corps while I was in the coma. And when I woke up, turns out they had never changed the passwords. I tried to sneak up on Batman, which didn't work."

"They didn't change the passwords... really? That seems unwise."

"The relevant locks were designed to be opened with a power ring, it wouldn't have presented a security vulnerability to anyone else."

"Are there other colors of rings around?"

"There's the Red Lantern Corps, although it's pretty small. And there are a few people that use Violet Light with crystals, but I don't think they have rings. And apparently more people with Indigo rings, somewhere."

"So nobody I'm likely to encounter unless I go looking."

"I don't think any of them have ever been to Earth."

"Good to know. You said you travel a bunch as a hobby, what's your favorite place you've been to?"

"The City of Oa is probably still the most impressive. It's... very old, and built on a grandiose scale, and like nothing on Earth."

"Do you have pictures you can show me?"

"Sure, I should have some."

After a minute, her ring receives several high-fidelity snapshots of places on Oa. It is clearly a small city, but built on a massive scale; each building is the size of a cathedral.

"Wow. Do you know why it's built like that?"

"The Guardians could build whatever they wanted, and I guess they wanted to build big. Maybe it was so that facilities for a relatively small amount of people would look more impressive."

"Fair enough. Do you have favorite place here on Earth?"

"I'm partial to the Rockies. And Tahiti is pretty."

"I'll have to visit those sometime."

"What kind of stuff do you do for fun? Or maybe I should be asking, what kind of stuff do you plan on doing for fun?"

"Before I generally spent time with friends we would watch TV or take walks or just talk about classes and our lives. Now... I might look into taking classes again it's a decent way to meet people and I was interested in material. I'm also looking to discover beautiful places like this, maybe learn some artistic skills."

"You might want to think about how visible you want to be. One of the reasons a lot of superheroes wear masks and have secret identities is that people can be kinda weird when they know they're talking to a superhero."

"That is a good point. I feel like a mask would make it harder to connect with people though and that would be sad. I'll have to think about it. You don't seem to wear one. Do you regret that?"

"Nope. Green Lanterns in general don't do that, and I didn't feel the need to. It helps that I never had a very high profile on Earth, and after I disappeared for four years most people forgot about me. Plus I've always made sure no one can get a good photo of my face close-up. I used to take the ring off every once in a while, try to blend in, be a normal guy, but, well... I got hit by a bus."

"Is the photo thing something you have your ring do?"

"Mostly I just avoid being too close to the ground when I'm working, but if someone tries to photograph my face when I'm on the ground, then yeah the ring will detect that and blur my face."

"That makes sense." She turns her gaze back to the aurora. "Thank you for all your help today. And thank you for bringing me here it's amazing."
