"Genomorphs are a species, or six related species, created by Cadmus for research purposes and to serve as a labor force for Cadmus' underground levels. Genomorphs are sapient."

The Kryptonian was created by project Match it was the predecessor project to project Kr which created the human Kryptonian hybrid I believe was rescued during the 'fire'.
