It takes him time to learn the currents and fathoms of the sea. Noah scours the drowned cities for artifacts, clues, weapons- anything that he can use against the monster he's going to have to face. It's jarring, to wake from it. Sometimes it feels like his life in the dreams with Astrid is realer than anything in his real life. There, he has a chance to win. He's starting to find a rhythm. Most nights, he gets seven hours, so Noah puts them to good use. He trains. He plans. He schmoozes. The sea is his domain, now, no matter how much the Leviathan claims it as his. At least, he hopes so. He hopes that all of this is worth it- the scars, the scares, all of it. He prays to God he can win this one.
