She evaluates Svetka when she emerges, then smiles. "We seem to have gotten it all." Then, musingly: "It's part of the folly of the court, that they demand such ridiculous displays of false beauty... I greatly prefer how you look right now."

"-This is less work for me, to look like this. Though Genya might be a little disappointed."

"She'll still get to dress you up for appearances outside the Little Palace."

"Don't tell her, but I hope there won't be too many of those."

"A reasonable hope."

"You aren't well suited to the life of a doll."

"I'd get stiff if I had to sit on a shelf all day."

"I'll make sure you get plenty of exercise, then."

"Good."

"If you're not too stiff now - I want to start on your actual training immediately."

"I'm ready."

"Good."

"We'll start you with physical and mental conditioning..."

She nods.

"My physical condition isn't- good."

"I'll fix that, then."

Oh boy.

"Okay."

Of course, that means Svetka will need to change again, into something more suited for exercise...

Then once she's changed again, off to train?

The area the Darkling leads her to is isolated from the other training areas - and actually seems to be the horse arena the office yesterday was overlooking.

Oh Saints nope resolutely not admitting to any thoughts about that whatsoever.

"Warm up stretches - both to test your flexibility and help avoid injury during your training."

Stretches, right, she knows how to do those.

The Darkling wants her to push to - and slightly past - her current limits.

Well.

The good news is it doesn't take long to get to Svetka's current limits. She is not what you call athletic.

They'll work on that.
