Here's the baker!

"Good to see you again!" If she wants more free bread he's going to have to ask her to come back later, he hasn't burned any bread today and it would be conspicuous if he immediately burned some on purpose.

Muvaki looks around. (Does he have prices posted anywhere?)

The bakery contains: bread. In addition to plain bread, some of it has nuts or pumpkin seeds or roasted onions.

He does not have prices posted. People mostly seem to be paying with copper, if that helps?

Okay. Well.

Muvaki has money. There is a shopkeeper. Despite her recent descent into madness she is capable of basic life skills such as "get the shopkeeper's attention" and "indicate that she would like to buy those two large loaves of bread with nuts" and "pay for them with one or more silver pieces as necessary." (aaaaaaaa)

She will shortly have two large bread loaves! With nuts!

"Have a good day, miss."

Augh, wait, there is another part of this task! She is not yet done! "Do you know where I can buy clothes?"

He can give her the name of a somewhat-less-fancy seamstress who lives nearby. ("She's a fast worker, but her quality doesn't suffer for it, and I'm sure you'll want to be out of those" (gesture at her clothes)
"as soon as possible...")

Okay! Now she's done!

She gives Ember one of the loaves. And now maybe they can. Go somewhere with less people? 

They could go back to their nook?

Yes that sounds good! Quiet secluded place to eat bread together. 

Leeeaaaan. (She doesn't seem to notice that she's doing it?)

Ember is happy to be leaned on! She feeds a little bit of the bread to Soot.

it feels like a weird dream. ...but... she doesn't want it to end, apparently?

She's very quiet, but it's not like that's unusual for her. 

Eventually Ember asks if she wants to go see the other seamstress now.

Oh right, yeah. (Then she can start doing laundry, and be a little bit useful? That seems important for not having to wake up just yet and for after, probably)

This seamstress is closer to the outer walls of the city and trying much less hard to cater to adventurers! Her assistant waves at Muvaki when she enters. (She seems to be treating Ember like she might as well be invisible.)

Muvaki doesn't like that! But she has a specific task to do and she's got her spells if something goes wrong.

She stays very close to Ember but she manages to say "I want some warm clothes that fit well. Nothing fancy." 

She nods. "Wool, then, and I'll need to take your measurements."

Muvaki, unsurprisingly, is not excited about this step. But she's not stupid and Ember is right here. She will cooperate with being measured and only look a little bit like she wants to explode about it.
