If there's a number listed for rides in general she can compare the numbers by ratio, but not much more than that. And she doesn't have any of their money at all, so knowing the meanings wouldn't be more than knowledge.

She might try sleeping in the roofed shelters, if Mia and Jewel don't get here before nightfall. (And find out, that way, if they arrest for that, here.)

Does looking at the sky and comparing to what she saw at earlier times suggest how soon daylight might end? (At least if this world has a sun that rises and sets).

It looks like it's early in the afternoon. The sun looks familiar. The pleasant wind is picking up a bit more, though.

A car shows up, pulls up to the transit station, and then debarks two teenage girls holding hands and giggling. They go right past her without a second glance or any greater remark than casually saying, "She looks sad." The other responds, "Not really?" Then they're gone up the trail. The car drives itself to a parking spot.

She'll step out of their way, if she's in it. Notes the car.

She'll walk around the lot, looking in case there's a sign or a buildboard or something like that with rules, like if it's permitted to be here after dark or if it's permitted to pick mushrooms in the forest.

There's an informational sign describing the three trails starting out from here. It's the Wheatspring River Falls Nature Park, sustained in part by the ?Worldwide Nature Tax?. (That bit contains a couple of strange and complicated concepts.)

It's not recommended to stay here after dark, because the weather can get bad suddenly and there is limited shelter available. Please use the park responsibly! Make sure to purchase camping and hunting/fishing credits if you plan to pursue those activities!

There's another sign with bold red lettering warning people that the hard trail right up the mountain is HARD and you should be PREPARED and it's rare but people DIE HIKING SOMETIMES and it CAN happen to YOU.

She'll read the sign. Are there more trails she hasn't been on, then? Understanding languages doesn't mean she knows everything; if she'd need to have a concept explained to her then she still would need it. If they stay here, they'll probably need to learn about the taxes soon enough, but it usually isn't an emergency. Worldwide still suggests things about the world, as does a park sustained by a nature tax.

She can't always assume that 'not recommended' doesn't actually mean not allowed, but it is at least not as likely as if the sign had said not allowed outright. And she can't assume that the mention of camping and hunting/fishing credits, and not gathering credits also, means gathering is allowed without them, but it's more likely that way than the other way too.

Is there a water pump somewhere, or somewhere there might be a faucet? Can she remember any at the picnic area?
