You're right, it is really big! I would say that it's pretty similar to It Gets Better and Eternal Love in that it promises that if something is really important to you, if losing it would break your heart, you don't have to worry about that happening. So if there's something that you really don't want to lose or if you think you might become attached to something in that way later on, that would be a good reason to take it. If you're pretty sure that you wouldn't become attached to something like that, or that this sort of guarantee would feel more like unwelcome pressure than a comforting assurance, that would be a good reason to not take it.

She looks around at all her stuff. She likes it a lot, obviously, since everything in here is something she either made herself or took the trouble to bring home, often from a long ways away. But she's not sure that she'd feel the same way about losing it as she would about her mind being messed with or something terrible happening to her brother.

She takes a moment to try and imagine it. She imagines going out to explore and coming back to an unharmed brother and empty shelter… with the knowledge that her powers will let her bounce back. Well, she definitely feels frustrated and annoyed at the waste of her hard work. Does she want to spend eight whole points to guarantee that that would absolutely never happen?

Well, she doesn't have to decide right at this moment.

She flips ahead to the protections.

Battle Angel seems practical, but I'd rather just not get into a fight in the first place. Is there a power for that?
