She considers this, for a moment. "Maybe a day or two? I will need to spend some of it alone." And some of it with Zisel, obviously, but she's not telling RJ that.

"If you are okay waiting here for me to return, then yes, that sounds good to me. I'll be back before sunset."

RJ shrugs. "Sure. I need to prepare spells and write down some notes, anyways."

She leaves them with a pleasant fire burning, and sets out with Damisa, making a beeline for Zisel's territory. Once she reaches it, she asks the birds for help finding him - hopefully he's around to talk.

The birds can locate Zisel for her; he's over there doing bow maintenance. "Hi there."

She flops down in the snow nearby. "Have you ever had wizards come through looking for hothon bulbs or efrofyel?"

"Efrofyel yes, hothon bulbs not that I can recall."

She nods. "This one says they can use both to create magic items. And I think they'd teach me how, if I helped them find some regularly." 

"Careful with that, that's the kind of person who chops down dryads to build boats."

She nods. "I don't want to let them harm the Forest. But... I would like to be able to make us and the others some small trinkets. And from what they told me, it doesn't seem like they need too much to work with..." 

"Well, they might only need a drop of something but need it at such a quality and after so much volume-reducing processing that it means forty plants. You know how to divide bulbs, right?"

She nods. "They said they only got a few of each, the last time they were here, and that was enough. Could be lying, but - I think I would have noticed?" (the missing plants, not the lying.)

"Yeah, they're no good at covering their tracks, you'd probably have noticed unless something else happened in the same spot. Figure out how many you can afford to lose. Don't let them go over, not even if they think that'll wreck their whole project. Maybe show them how to divide bulbs, in case they try the same thing in another forest and have a care for next year."

She nods excitedly. "Will do. ...I'm planning on doing the harvesting myself. Don't want to let them mess it up."

"Makes sense."

She unflops herself and whistles for Damisa (he wandered off to stalk something through the underbrush a few minutes ago).

"I should head to the river to forage." He can join her if he wants, or ask for anything if he's busy with his bow.

"Trout looked pretty good earlier."

Happy nodding. (She loves how often she doesn't need to say anything, with Zisel.)

She heads off with Damisa to the river. They catch several trout together, and she swings by Zisel to drop a few off before she heads back. 

"Trade ya." Herbal tea blend.

Oooh, this is goooood. She sips it appreciatively, smiling. 

... she should get back to RJ, though. "Seeya around." 

"Seeya. Good luck with your plant-seeking townie."

Kaitiaki smiles as she waves goodbye.

She's able to grab some good firewood on the way, and is back not too long past noon. She whistles a command to Damisa (more precisely, a lack of command - he's free to wander for the rest of the day, if he wants.)

YESSS! He licks Bestfriend happily and then it's time to HUNT STALK POUNCE!!

She slips into the cave. "You hungry?"
