She wakes up in the morning and pokes her head out the door. Curfew is not over yet. She frowns, walks over to her to-do list, and adds

1.5. Wristwatch

A quick round of exercises (To stay in shape) and another check out the door (Still curfew) and then she starts contemplating whether she should try branching off her gas line - She knows some alchemy kids do it for a bunsen burner, so it's possible, and natural gas and propane burn hot enough to forge steel, so it might be useful. Probably her neighbors would hate her if she was hammering iron at all hours, though, and it's not the safest setup to have in her bedroom, and she will probably have plenty of shop time. She draws some plans on the wall in grease marker anyways.

She keeps rotating between this and more exercise and hallway checks until curfew is over, when she runs off to work.

When El opens her door in the morning, Bobbie is already standing there, hands clasped behind her back and looking as crisp as possible in a torn shirt and sleeves for shoes.

"Ma'am. What've you got for homeroom?"
