The city and the rotating town both warrant coming back to later, but checking out the orange swamp comes first. He'll scout it out from the sky first, seeing if he can spot any particularly dangerous-seeming targets.

There doesn't seem to be much activity on the surface. Except- That one patch of ground seems kind of... Blurry?

Fair enough! He will descend towards the weird patch of ground, careful of potential ambush, and if not interrupted, will touch down on it.

The weird patch of ground ambushes him by leaping skyward and closing its big mouth and sharp teeth on him!

Impressive camouflage! He flies back up before the mouth can close completely, plucking a tooth on his way out to inspect.

The tooth is six inches long and has venom!

The thing below him has stopped bothering to be nearly invisible, and settles heavily to the ground. Almost skeletal, long and sinuous with vicious-looking appendages and a weirdly elongated neck and far too many teeth.

It inhales deeply, and then spits something violently blue at him.

He'll avoid that blue, just to be safe. This entity seems awfully animal-esque, so hopefully it'll qualify. It's got a neck, and most animals don't like having a hole poked in their neck, and he'll go ahead fly right at it, hand held forward in the vaguest imitation of a spear-point.
