Dara makes a face. :No, I don't think they usually do. Anyway. Treven's considering whether to send Leareth a message, but it sounds like you arranged a way to contact him too, and that'd be faster?:

:Yeah, I made this: She taps the bracelet. :Though he seems very busy so he might not want to have an extended conversation right away:

:We don't need an extended conversation, we just may want to ask if he knows anything about Vanyel or did anything to him: She frowns. :Though you can't use Truth Spell that way. Do you think he'd lie to you, given that?:

:I don't think so. But I could propose going back if people are understandably skeptical that he draws the line at lying and not at murdering people:

Dara winces. :Um, but that's also risky for you - and Tran will be unhappy about it too, he's already worried Leareth did something to you that Melody missed, even though I told him that's stupid:

:Did what to me? He's old, not omnipotent:

:Honestly, I think Tran's attributing way more omnipotence to Leareth than he actually has. And you're the one who's met him; he seems like...basically just a person, to you?:

:He's a very weird person but he's a person:

Nod. :Anyway, we're going to have a meeting with the Senior Circle and talk about what to do. Oh, and by the way I saw Melody, she's wondering if you're up for seeing patients again today?:

:Sure, I can do that. Now?:

:Not right this second, I think she was hoping you could head over when you're done breakfast?:

:I can do that:

She heads over to Healer's full of porridge.

Melody has a lineup of waiting-list patients for her, none of them too complicated.

:We're shorthanded: she complains. :Two of my senior trainees volunteered to trek up north. Not that there's even any fighting yet, and we hope there won't be at all, now, but...:

:They're - attached to the military?:

:Er, it's complicated? We're not in the Guard's chain of command - or under the Heralds, either - but they were asking for help up there:

:That makes sense:

She can start going through excess patients.

Excess patients are handed her way for most of the day! Sandra and Kilchas also Mindspeak her about weather-working schedules; they're still trying to figure out how to slot in the White Winds mages, who have a pretty different background and mage-training standards, and also mostly don't speak Valdemaran.

Dara checks in with her again over supper. :Randi still hasn't given the go-ahead for you to talk to Leareth directly. He says he wants to argue it out with Tran first, but he's too tired tonight:

:What's the argument, exactly? I was already there!:

:I'm not sure: Dara looks exhausted, and not at all in the mood to talk about this. :If you're impatient to talk to Leareth, you might have better luck asking Tran yourself, I don't know:

:I guess I could try that, if he's not super busy?:

:We're all pretty busy. I don't know that he's got anything specific on tonight, though - you could Mindspeak him and ask?:

Dara seems vaguely frustrated about the topic of Tran, and not especially inclined to be helpful by talking to Tran herself.

Shrug. Knock knock Tran?

:- What?:

:Is this a good time?:
